Fire tenders spray water in Delhi to combat pollution
Delhi has been struggling with high pollution for the past weeks. The Government of Delhi has now joined hands with Delhi Fire Services to combat pollution.
The Delhi Fire Services is spraying water in front of hospitals in Delhi on Sunday. The Air Quality of Delhi is continuing to remain to severe for four continuous days.
Atul Garg, Director of Delhi Fire Services said " From this morning we have started spraying water. We have identified 13 hotspots, and our main focus will be on them. There are a lot of fire incidents during Diwali time. We are using the spare vehicles available with us. Right now 11 vehicles are on duty."
As per the System of Air Quality Forecasting and Research (SAFAR-India), the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi on November 4, Saturday was 504 which dropped to 410 on November 5 to 410.
Pollution has also affected the World Cup. On November 4, the Sri Lankan Cricket team canceled their practice session ahead of the match with Bangladesh.
The Delhi Education Minister Atishi on Sunday announced that Schools in Delhi will remain close still November 10.
