First train to Mizoram, the last unexplored frontier is just a train ride away

Aizawl will be connected to the Indian railway network for the first time. This is a 51.38 km long rail project, which includes 48 tunnels and many small and big bridges.

Mizoram's capital Aizawl is going to be connected with the Indian Railway Map for the first time. Bairabi Sairang railway line is going to be inaugurated next month. This railway line will be inaugurated by the P M Narendra Modi on 13 September 2025.

The special thing is that the height of its bridge number 196 is more than the Qutub Minar of Delhi.

Train will reach Mizoram for the first time

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma himself gave information about the inauguration of Bairabi Sairang railway line. He told that the Prime Minister himself will come to Aizawl on 12 September. After this he will spend the night in Aizawl. Then the next day i.e. on September 13, he will inaugurate the new railway line Bairabi Sairang. Along with this, CM Lalduhoma told that he has also discussed with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav about this visit of PM Modi.

Aizawl will be connected to the Indian railway network

This railway line will connect Aizawl to the whole country. First it will connect Aizawl to Silchar in Assam. Then from there it will be connected to the whole country. This railway route includes 48 tunnels, whose length is 12.8 km and 55 big bridges. Along with this, 87 small bridges have also been built. The height of its bridge number 196 is more than the Qutub Minar of Delhi. The height of this bridge is 104 meters. This project will connect Mizoram with the rest of the country in a better way and will give a new direction to tourism.

World Class Facility Centre

Chief Minister Lalduhoma said that Sairang Railway Station will be developed as a world class facility centre. After this, Rajdhani Express service will also be started from this railway station. This rail project is a part of the Centre's Act East Policy,. Its aim is to promote better connectivity and economic development in the north-eastern states.
