Vibrant Gujarat Regional Summit: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today addressed the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences (VGRC) - Interaction Meet held at Leela Palace, New Delhi. The event was attended by eminent industrialists of the country, senior officials of the Government of India and media representatives. The Interaction Meet was organized with the aim of setting the stage for the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences to be held in Gujarat and to give a detailed outline of the conference.

Interaction Meet addressed by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel
Greeting the dignitaries and participants present at the Interaction Meet, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed the vision of organizing VGRC conferences in Gujarat. He recalled how Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, launched the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) in the year 2003 with the aim of putting Gujarat on the global industrial map.
He informed that in the last 20 years, this summit has completely changed the economic and social landscape of Gujarat. Today, Gujarat contributes 8.5% to India's GDP, 18% to industrial output and about 27% to the country's exports.
Gujarat Regional Conference to boost local for vocal initiative
CM Bhupendra Patel emphasized that the purpose of organizing VGRC is to expand this success to every district and region of Gujarat, so that the benefits of development reach every corner of the state. Which is in line with the Prime Minister's mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas". He also said that some sectors of industry in Gujarat have such immense potential that their production is more than all the states. The aim of VGRC is to unlock these opportunities, connect investors directly to the regional mechanism and enable MSMEs and supporting industries to grow together.

In his address, the Chief Minister also outlined the upcoming preparations for Gujarat's industrial development. He informed that in the coming time, there is a plan to develop GIFT City, Dholera and Mandal-Becharji SIR, Greenfield Port, LNG Terminal along with new industrial parks like PM-Mitra, Bulk Drug Park, Medical Device and Agro Food Park in Gujarat. He said that these projects along with regional conferences will help Gujarat to achieve the target of becoming a 3.5 trillion dollar economy by 2047.
Regional aspirations and global ambitions
VGRC conference programs Making the announcement, the Chief Minister informed that the first VGRC will be held in Mehsana on 9-10 October 2025, followed by quarterly events in Rajkot (Kutch-Saurashtra), Surat (South Gujarat), and Vadodara (Central Gujarat). These will be accompanied by trade shows, exhibitions, and sectoral seminars to showcase regional products and promote international collaboration.

Preparations for Gujarat's industrial development
CM Bhupendra Patel also reiterated Gujarat's commitment to align its regional aspirations with national ambitions and informed that the theme of this year's VGRC - "Regional Aspirations and Global Ambitions" is aligned with the Prime Minister's call for Vocal for Local and Local for Global. This initiative will not only strengthen Aatmanirbhar Bharat but will also contribute significantly in achieving the goal of Developed India- 2047.

Addressing on the occasion, Secretary, DPIIT, Government of India, Amardeep Singh Bhatia said that DPIIT is working hard to shape the policies of this conference, implement reforms and create a favorable environment for businesses, so that India can achieve its goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. He also informed that these regional conferences of VGRC are based on the success and legacy of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. Which will provide a platform to showcase the regional potential of Gujarat, promote development at the grassroots level and connect local aspirations with the broader vision of Developed India- 2047.

Ambassadors, High Commissioners and representatives of about 50 countries were present in the interaction meet of VGRC. Chief Secretary of Gujarat Government Pankaj Joshi and Industry Commissioner P. Swaroop also addressed this interaction meet. Principal Secretary of Industry and Mines Department of Gujarat Government, Ms. Mamta Verma also gave a detailed presentation on Vibrant Gujarat regional conferences. On this occasion, an interaction was also organised with senior officials from various departments of the Government of India, which will further strengthen the national and global engagement of Gujarat.
