One of the people who lost their lives in the accident, a woman named Mallika, has been identified. About 25 people have been injured in this accident in Tirupati, who are being treated in the hospital.

PM Modi expressed grief over the accident
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu have expressed grief over the accident. It is being told that the tokens had not even started being distributed at the centers set up for tokens, but before that there was a stampede, and such a big accident happened. It is being told that CM Chandrababu Naidu will reach Tirupati hospital to meet the injured at 10 am on January 9.
Crowd started gathering for tokens from the night itself

People from every part of the country reach Tirupati to visit during this special time. This time Vaikuntha Dwar Darshan is to be held from January 10 to January 19. For this, arrangements were made to distribute tokens. Tokens were to be distributed from the morning of January 9, but the crowd started gathering for this from the night of January 8 itself. People lined up at Bairagi Pattida Park and MGM School Center. In a short time, more than 4 thousand people gathered. During this time, a stampede occurred.
TTD Chairman held the administration responsible
TTD Chairman BR Naidu said on the accident, 'We believe that this happened due to the negligence of the administration. 6 people died. One of whom has been identified. The others have not been identified yet. CM Naidu will meet the victim families.
Collector visited the hospital
Many videos related to the stampede are going viral on social media, in which police officers are shown handling the crowd. In the video, after the stampede, policemen are also seen giving CPR to the injured devotees. According to the administration, at the time of the stampede, SP Subbaraidu himself was looking after the arrangements at the token distribution centers.
District Collector Dr. S Venkateshwar and Joint Collector Shubham Bansal have visited the hospital and took stock of the condition of the injured. Apart from this, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Executive Officer Shyamala Rao has also taken stock of the situation with the officials.
Darshan will start from January 10
Let us tell you that Vaikuntha Dwar Darshan is going to be held from 10 to 19 January 2025. TTD Executive Officer Shyamala Rao had told a day earlier that ensuring the access of pilgrims to Vaikuntha Dwar Darshan is the top priority of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. Sarva Darshan can be done at 8 am.
