Kolkata's favorite, Gautam Gambhir, the man who led them to two IPL trophies is back in the camp.Gautam Gambhir, the former Indian cricketer, has officially left Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to rejoin the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), a team he led to two titles. KKR's CEO, Venky Mysore, announced Gambhir's return and designated him as a mentor.

Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of the Knight Riders, enthusiastically welcomed Gambhir back, referring to it as the 'return of their captain.' Gambhir himself expressed emotional sentiments as his move to KKR from LSG was confirmed.
