Who turned fashion into a billion-dollar business

Giorgio Armani was the name in the fashion world, who made clothes a luxury. Along with this, he also changed people's perspective of looking at fashion. He was ill for a long time. In June, he was unable to attend his first runway show due to illness.  Giorgio Armani is credited with pioneering red carpet fashion trend. According to a news agency, Giorgio was planning to celebrate his 50th anniversary of his brand during Milan Fashion Week.

Armani brought fashion from Paris to Milan

It is said that he shifted the centre of fashion from Paris to Milan. He once said that I started making men wear women's clothes and women wear men's clothes, the result of which was that the way of looking at both changed.

Another famous anecdote about him is that after leaving medicine, he first joined the army. There he used to go so well dressed on every occasion that an officer said - Boy! You leave the army, go and become a tailor.

He took the officer's words seriously and left the army. When he started designing, he created a brand called Armani that became a status symbol.

Entered the fashion world in 1970

He introduced ready-to-wear Italian fashion to the world by introducing his signature 'Armani suit' in the 1970s. After this, in the 1980s, he introduced classic styles in women's clothing with the 'Power Suit'.
