In response, Giriraj Singh dismissed Congress's visit to Manipur as "political tourism," asserting that Manipur faced turmoil during the Congress government's six-year tenure. Expressing concern over the recent attack on an Enforcement Directorate (ED) team in West Bengal, Singh claimed that West Bengal lacked true democracy and compared the government to a regime resembling that of Kim Jong Un. He accused the state government of undermining the federal structure.

The ED team faced an attack in North 24 Parganas district during a raid related to an alleged ration scam involving leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC). Vehicles were damaged, and officials sustained injuries during the incident, adding to the ongoing political tension in the state.
