Godman Chaitanyananda Saraswati alias Parth Sarthy booked for sexually harassing 17 girls

Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management and Research Delhi: Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, the former director of SIIM in Vasant Kunj, Delhi, has been accused of sexual harassment of female students.

Godman Chaitanyananda Saraswati:  Student students at Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management and Research Delhi (SIIM) in Vasant Kunj, South Delhi, have accused him of molestation and abusive language. The accused is identified as Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, the former director of the Delhi campus. However, the accused remains at large. Upon receiving the complaint, the Vasant Kunj (North) police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.

Seventeen female students of the management institute have leveled serious allegations against Swami Chaitanyananda.

"Obscene messages, use of vulgar language, and molestation."

Police have seized CCTV footage from the institute. Delhi Police have also seized the accused's Volvo car from the institute's basement.

Delhi police registered FIR against Chaitanyananda Saraswati

According to the police, the car had a fake license plate. Regarding this incident, the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetha in Sringeri (Karnataka) has issued a statement stating that serious action has been taken against Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati (formerly Swami Dr. Parthasarathy). His conduct and activities have been illegal, inappropriate, and against the interests of the Peetha. Consequently, all relations with him have been severed.

Complaint filed against Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati

The Sringeri Peetha also stated that a complaint has been filed with the relevant authorities regarding Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati's illegal activities. Furthermore, the Sringeri Peetha clarified that the Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management-Research (Vasant Kunj, New Delhi) is AICTE-accredited and operates under the Peetha's jurisdiction.

The institute is governed by a Governing Council constituted by the Peetha, chaired by renowned educationist Dr. Krishna Venkatesh. The Governing Council has assured that the interests of the students will be fully protected and that their studies and programs will not be disrupted in any way.

Self-styled godman booked for sexually harassing students

The accused's actions were revealed by the administration of the very ashram (Sringeri) where the management institute was operating. Following the disclosure of the case, the accused has been removed from his post. According to Delhi Police, police teams are conducting raids. The accused's last location was found in Agra. According to Delhi Police, statements from 16 female students have been recorded so far in the Patiala House Magistrate Court.

Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati absconding

According to Delhi Police, cases of sexual exploitation and fraud against women and female students have been registered against Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, alias Parth Sarathi, at the Vasant Kunj North police station in Southwest Delhi. The police investigation has revealed several shocking facts.

According to Delhi Police, on August 4, 2025, P.A., administrator of the Sri Sringeri Math and its properties, Murali had complained that Swami Chaitanyananda had misbehaved with female students pursuing PGDM on EWS scholarships at the Sharda Institute of Indian Management (SRISIIM).

Statements of 32 students recorded

When the police began the investigation, statements from 32 students were recorded, of which 17 directly alleged that the accused had sent them obscene messages, used foul language, and physically harassed them. The students also stated that some female faculty and administrative staff pressured them into complying with Swami's indecent demands. The students allege that Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati had attempted to touch them forcibly.

Car with a fake license plate was found in the institute's basement

Following the complaint, Delhi Police registered a case under sections 75(2)/79/351(2) of the IPC. The police examined CCTV footage and conducted multiple raids at the accused's hideouts, but the accused remains undetected.

Summary

During the investigation, a Volvo car was recovered from the institute's basement. It had a fake diplomatic number plate (39 UN 1). It is alleged that Swami Chaitanyananda used this red Volvo car with the fake number plate to project his influence. Another case has been registered in this matter.
