GeM became the most trusted platform

It has been 9 years since GeM was started. During this time, this platform has connected government buyers and sellers across the country together. Government digital platform  CEO Mihir Kumar said on this, "It is a matter of pride for us to cross the figure of Rs 15 lakh crore in nine years. This is the result of the hard work of lakhs of buyers and sellers who chose GeM. Our aim will be to connect more people, make the process easier and use technology properly."

Opportunity for small traders

GeM has given an opportunity to participate in government procurement not only to big companies, but also to small shopkeepers, women, startups, artisans and Divyangjans. Earlier, where it was difficult to participate in government tenders, now anyone can register online through GeM and sell their goods or services directly to the government. This has given many small entrepreneurs an opportunity to work with the government.
