Greater Noida: A case of fraud involving a young man of ₹8 lakh has come to light in the Bisrakh police station area of Greater Noida, where he was duped of ₹8 lakh by promising him a government job in the railways. The accused, posing as railway employees, promised to give him a permanent joining letter.

When the young man arrived at the railway office with the joining letter, officials verified the documents and found it to be fake, exposing the entire matter. Rajiv, a resident of Chipiyana village in the Bisrakh police station area, reported in his police complaint that he had met Ashwani Saraswat and Pawan Chaudhary a few days earlier.

They claimed to be railway employees and promised him a job. Even though accused told him that the railway recruitment process was underway and he would need to pay a small fee. Rajiv fell for their deception and paid approximately ₹8 lakh in installments, some in cash and some through banking channels.

The accused then handed him a railway joining letter, character certificate, and other documents. When the young man arrived at the railway office at the appointed time to join, officials examined the documents. The investigation revealed that the joining letter was completely fake. Railway officials were also stunned by the quality of the documents, as the seal and signature on the letter appeared genuine.

Additional DCP RK Gautam stated that a case was registered at Bisrakh police station based on the victim's complaint. Police began an investigation and arrested Ashwani Saraswat and Pawan Chaudhary near the Chipiyana Buzurg railway crossing. During interrogation, the two revealed the name of their third accomplice, Akhil alias Ayan, who was later arrested in the Shahberi area.

Summary

The Noida Police has recovered a computer, printer, LED monitor, several fake railway joining letters, rubber stamps, Aadhaar cards, character certificates, and other government documents from the accused.
