Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the Vibrant Ahmedabad Flower Show 2024 at Sabarmati Riverfront

In anticipation of the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit next month, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel of Gujarat officially opened the Vibrant Ahmedabad Flower Show 2024 on Saturday, located at the picturesque Sabarmati Riverfront.

Following the inauguration, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, along with other distinguished guests, explored the diverse attractions showcased at the flower exhibition. Notable attendees included Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibhaben Jain, former Auda President Mr. Surendra Patel, city MLA, Deputy Mayor Mr. Jatinbhai Patel, Standing Committee Chairman Mr. Devang Dani, Mun. Commissioner Shri M. Thennarsan, and various Municipal Corporation officials.

One of the key highlights of the 'Vibrant Ahmedabad Flower Show 2024' is the captivating entrance, designed in the likeness of the arch of Vadnagar. Additionally, visitors can marvel at replicas such as the Statue of Unity of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the New Parliament House, the Modhera Sun Temple, the Chandrayaan-3, and depictions of Seven Horses and the Olympics.

This year's exhibition boasts over 15 lakh flowers and plants of diverse varieties, adding to the allure for city residents. A wide array of indigenous and foreign flowers and plants, including petunia, gazania, begonia, torania, marigold, lilium, orchid, dahlia, amaranth lily, cactus plant, and gerbera, have been meticulously planted.

The 'Vibrant Ahmedabad Flower Show 2024' showcases a rich variety of flowers, such as dianthuses, chrysanthemums, vincas, gazanias, begonias, anthuriums, asters, impatiens, marigolds, calendulas, and many more.

A distinctive feature of this year's exhibition is the dominance of flower sculptures, ranging from historical symbols to whimsical cartoon characters. Notably, the Flower Show 2024 boasts a 400-meter-long flower structure crafted from an impressive 7 lakh saplings.

The exhibition also provides a platform for several nurseries, which have set up stalls offering seeds and plants for sale. Gardening enthusiasts can find a diverse range of products, including gardening equipment, pots, and pesticides, available for purchase at the flower show.
