Gujarat is under greater danger now. An orange alert has
been issued for the Kutch region of Saurashtra coast.
In Saurashtra and Kutch, where a yellow alert was issued for
winds until yesterday, an orange notice has been issued as of today.
Porbandar: Gujarat is in the path of Cyclone Biporjoy. Along
the shore today, an orange warning has been issued. Porbandar is 340 km from
the centre of this storm. It’s moving at a speed of 5 km per hour right
now. An orange alert has been issued for Saurashtra and Kutch due to an
increase in wind speed from the yellow notice issued yesterday.
Due
to high wind speeds and expected rainfall on June 15 and 16, the Meteorological
Department has issued a red alert for three areas. In which the districts of
Kutch, Jamnagar, and Dwarka are on high alert. These three areas can expect
heavy to extremely heavy rains and gusty gusts of 125-135 kmph. This has
triggered an alarm throughout the system.
