According to the Times of India, Indian Railways intends to run the Vande Bharat express trains, which will run between Pune, Maharashtra, and Vadodara, Gujarat.

In addition, the report states that Gujarat state is scheduled to receive its second semi-high speed train soon, running on the Ahmedabad to Mumbai Central route; the trial run for this train was conducted on November 10.

A surge in commuter demand led to the decision to launch the new route between Ahmedabad and Mumbai Central.

According to a TOI report, the first Vande Bharat train, which ran from Mumbai Central to Gandhinagar and was introduced in September of last year, saw an average daily number of passengers of 142% in October of this year, compared to 146% in the opposite direction.

Expected Schedule of the Vadodara-Pune Vande Bharat Express

Regarding the Vadodara-Pune Vande Bharat Express, representatives informed the daily that Vasai Road will be used to connect the train on this route. Soon, the trial run of the Vadodara to Vasai road will begin. It will leave Vadodara at 4:35 pm and arrive at Vasai Road at 8:40 pm, and it will depart at 11:37 am and arrive at Vadodara at 3:30 pm from Vasai Road. The schedule for the Vasai-Pune route trial has not yet been made public, the report continued.

Other Vande Bharat Trains for Gujarat

Gujarat received its first Vande Bharat train, which ran from Mumbai Central to Gandhinagar, last year. Train 20901 operates six days a week, with the exception of Wednesdays. The train is scheduled to depart Gandhinagar at 14:05 and arrive at Mumbai Central at 20:25. Similarly, the train from Mumbai Central departs at 6 am and arrives at Gandhinagar at 12:25 pm.

The Ahmedabad-Jamnagar Vande Bharat Superfast Express is another Vande Bharat in the state that commenced service in September of this year.  At Rajkot, Wankaner Jn, Surrendranagar, Viramgam Jn, Sanand, and Sabarmati Jn, the train stops. This train runs six days a week, leaving at 18.10 from Ahmedabad and arriving in Jamnagar at 22:35. Similarly, the train leaves at 5:45 am from Jamnagar and arrives in Ahmedabad at 10.10 am.
