As the Sikh community commemorated the 357th Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Gobind Singh on Wednesday, leaders from across India expressed their heartfelt tributes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings, emphasizing the significance of Guru Gobind Singh Ji's life as a source of strength.

"I pay tribute to Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on his Prakash Utsav and remember his courage and kindness. His life is a source of strength for many people," remarked Prime Minister Modi.

BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, in a post on X, paid homage to Shri Guru Gobind Singh, acknowledging his role as the tenth Guru of Sikhism and the founder of Khalsa Panth.

"I pay my tribute to Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru of Sikhism and founder of Khalsa Panth, on his Prakash Utsav. Your struggle and dedication to protect the nation, culture, and self-respect will always remain immortal. Your devotion, renunciation, and sacrifice will remain an inspiration for all the countrymen for ages," stated Jagat Prakash Nadda.

Devotees Offer Prayers at the Golden Temple in Amritsar

On the auspicious occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Prakash Utsav, devotees gathered at the Golden Temple in Amritsar to offer prayers. Expressing their wishes for the well-being of Punjab, devotees from around the world shared their sentiments.

"I have come here from England. I extend my greetings to everybody. On the occasion of Prakash Parv, I pray for the progress and peace of Punjab. May our state become drug-free," said a devotee at the Golden Temple.

"I have come from Australia. May all the Sikhs around the world stay blessed. Our gurus have made sacrifices for the nation which will be never forgotten," added another devotee.

Prakash Parv Celebrations Worldwide

Prakash Parv, celebrated on the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj Jayanti, honors the great warrior, poet, philosopher, and spiritual master. Sikhs worldwide exchange greetings and pledge to follow the teachings of Guruji.

Gurudwaras across India and the world were adorned with beautiful lights and decorations, creating a festive atmosphere. 'Langar' was organized in every gurudwara, and Sikhs engaged in community service. In some places, the 'Nagar Prabhat Pheri' was organized, with Sikhs participating with great fervor.

During Prakash Parv, Ardas was conducted, prayers were offered in Gurudwaras, and special bhajan-kirtan performances marked the occasion, underscoring the significance of this annual celebration in the Sikh community.
