Haryana Government Receives Acclaim for Exemplary Governance Reforms: Chief Minister Khattar
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar proudly announced during the winter session of the State Assembly on Tuesday that the Haryana government has been honored with the prestigious title of the "Reformist State," recognizing its remarkable efforts in the domain of governance reform.
Addressing the assembly, Khattar revealed, "The Haryana government secured the top prize in the 'reformist state' category at the Tax India Online (TIOL) Awards 2023, held on September 14. This award is a testament to the state's commitment to governance reform."
He further shared that the tax collection in Haryana showed a substantial increase, with Rs 19,622 crore collected in October 2022 and a notable rise to Rs 23,841 crore in October 2023, reflecting a 21 per cent growth compared to the previous year.
Khattar emphasized Haryana's leading position in the country in terms of GST collection and per capita income among small states, with a GST collection of Rs 34,186 per person in the state.
On September 14, 2023, the Haryana government was recognized as the top performer in the "Reformist State" category at the TIOL Awards 2023, earning the prestigious Gold Award for its outstanding efforts in the realm of governance reform.
The TIOL Awards aimed to applaud and encourage compliant taxpayers, tax technology service providers, and other states committed to reform.
Earlier this year, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar highlighted Haryana's proactive pursuit of transformative initiatives focused on enhancing administrative efficiency through the integration of e-services and technology.
