Haryana's Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Mr. Vipul Goyal said that Haryana government has taken strong cognizance of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's statement regarding the water supplied to Delhi. Haryana government has filed a case against Kejriwal in Sonipat court under Disaster Management Act.

Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goyal gave this information while talking to journalists at the Secretariat in Chandigarh.

Vipul Goyal said that Arvind Kejriwal's statement is absurd and confusing. He said that the Election Commission should also take strict cognizance against Kejriwal for such a cheap and irresponsible statement. While Vipul Goyal said that Kejriwal has done cheap politics by making such allegations on Haryana. Haryana government is taking legal action. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister said that the water which is being supplied to Delhi is also consumed by the President, Prime Minister, and Union Ministers.

By making this statement, Kejriwal has spread fear not only among the people of Delhi but also among the people of Haryana.

He said that the Delhi government has completely failed in cleaning the Yamuna. To save his credibility in the elections, Arvind Kejriwal has made shameful and baseless allegations against the people of Haryana. The people of Haryana consider Yamuna ji as their idol. This type of false propaganda is not only an insult to Haryana but also a conspiracy to mislead the people of Delhi.

Kejriwal has made shameful and baseless allegations

Vipul Goyal said that Arvind Kejriwal is claiming that he has stopped the so-called 'poisonous water' from entering Delhi. But he has no proof of this claim. He said that lying to hide his failures is an old habit of Arvind Kejriwal. The Revenue and Disaster Management Minister accused the Delhi government of breaking promises regarding the cleaning of Yamuna.

He said that out of 37 sewage treatment plants in Delhi, only 17 are operational. This shows the incompetence of the Delhi government and its irresponsibility for the plight of the Yamuna River. He said that this mismanagement of the Delhi government is not only affecting the people of Delhi but also the people of Faridabad, Palwal and Mewat districts of Haryana.

What can happen if Kejriwal, who accused of mixing poison in Yamuna, is found guilty

The Election Commission has asked former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to submit evidence of the allegations he has made against the BJP government of Haryana. Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal has accused the Haryana government of mixing poison in the water of Yamuna. Apart from Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has also made similar allegations.

Prime Minister Modi has also hit back at Kejriwal on these allegations

PM Modi said, "This is not just an insult to Haryana but also to Indians, an insult to our sanskaar, an insult to our character. This is a country where providing water is considered a religion. I am sure that this time Delhi will teach a lesson to those who talk such cheap things."

On this, the Election Commission has asked Kejriwal to provide evidence in support of the allegations made by him by 8 pm on Wednesday.

The question is, if Kejriwal is unable to provide evidence in support of his allegations, what action can the Election Commission take against him?

Former Chief Election Commissioner of India OP Rawat says, "The Model Code of Conduct states that you cannot say anything baseless. If Kejriwal's statement is proved to be baseless, the Election Commission can give an order to not allow him to campaign."

The election campaign for the assembly elections in Delhi will end on February 3 and voting will take place on February 5.

Senior lawyer and legal expert Sanjay Hegde believes that if the claim is not found to be true, the Election Commission can at the most stop Kejriwal from campaigning.

What can the Election Commission do in such cases?

Hegde says, even before this, many kinds of statements were made by leaders in the Lok Sabha elections. What did the Election Commission do about it then? At the most, they can stop Kejriwal from campaigning, nothing more than this." Arvind Kejriwal's allegations have caused a political storm amidst the ongoing election campaign in Delhi.

In this matter, even Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reached the Election Commission to complain against Kejriwal.

Nirmala Sitharaman's visit to the Election Commission amidst the preparations for the general budget shows how seriously the BJP has taken this issue.
