Haryana: Roads turned into rivers due to rain in Gurugram, heavy traffic jam
Haryana: After the rain since Monday afternoon, flood like situation has arisen in Gurugram, Haryana. Not only this, in many areas, water has filled up to the knees. There is hardly any road in Gurugram which has not turned into a river. The rain which started at around 1.30 pm in the afternoon accumulated water up to three feet on the roads, the effect of which was such that by 9.30 pm, there was a dangerous traffic jam in Gurugram.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), more than 80 mm of rain fell in Gurugram in just four hours. At the same time, rain along with strong winds continued till late evening. On Monday, the sun was shining till 11:30 am, but suddenly the weather started changing in the afternoon and by 1:30 pm, it started raining in some parts of Gurugram.
Worst situation in these areas
Heavy rain started in the rural area from 1:30 pm. At the same time, there was heavy rain in the urban area from around 2:30 pm. However, it stopped after raining for a while initially, but it has been raining continuously since 3 pm till late evening. Due to this rain, the roads have turned into rivers. The worst situation is in Sector-10, Civil Lines, Sector-4, Dhanwapur Road, Laxman Vihar, Bhim Nagar, Arjun Nagar, Surat Nagar, New Colony, Sector-52, Wazirabad, Sector-57, Sector-45, Sushant Lok, Basai Road, Narsinghpur on Delhi-Jaipur Expressway.
After the heavy rain in Gurugram till evening, there has been a terrible jam. This jam in Gurugram after the rain has made the condition of the people miserable. In such a situation, pictures of different areas of Gurugram are also coming out. There is a dangerous jam on NH48 of Gurugram.
Corporate and private institutions advised to work from home
Gurugram administration advised all corporate and private institutions to ask their employees to work from home amid rain warnings. The Meteorological Department has predicted another rain with thunder and lightning on September 3.
