In a significant address at the inaugural session of the third World Hindu Congress (WHC) in Bangkok, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat emphasized India's role in leading the world towards happiness and satisfaction amid global experiments with materialism, communism, and capitalism. Speaking to a diverse audience of thinkers, activists, leaders, and entrepreneurs from around the world, Bhagwat called for a unified effort among Hindus to connect with each other and, in turn, connect with the entire world.

Highlighting the world's realization, especially post the Covid-19 pandemic, that India holds the key to happiness, Bhagwat noted the global quest for satisfaction after failed experiments with various ideologies. He expressed the belief that the world is turning towards Hinduism as a source of solace and spiritual fulfillment.

Bhagwat stressed the need for Hindus to reach out globally, connecting with individuals through selfless service. He underlined the tradition of selfless service ingrained in Hindu values, asserting that the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family) should guide the collective efforts of Hindus worldwide.

The RSS chief acknowledged the diversity within the Hindu community, emphasizing the importance of unity. He called for Hindus to work together, recognizing the specificity of each contribution to the world. Bhagwat also addressed the historical fragmentation of the Hindu community, urging a collective coming together to avoid division and conquest.

Pointing out that negative emotions like anger, hatred, and ego hinder unity, Bhagwat advocated winning hearts through selfless service. The three-day WHC conference, attended by delegates from over 60 countries, aims to provide a platform for discussing the challenges faced by Hindus globally.

The event commenced with a symbolic blowing of the conch by Swami Vigyanananda, the founder and global chairman of the World Hindu Foundation. Notable figures such as spiritual leader Mata Amritanandmayi Devi, VHP General Secretary Milind Parande, and other prominent leaders participated in the quadrennial congress.
