Amit Shah Appeals To Naxalites: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has appealed to the Naxalites to return to the mainstream. During this, Shah praised the Cobra Battalion. This battalion is adept at jungle and guerrilla warfare and is playing an important role in the campaign against Naxalites.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday appealed to all the hidden Naxalites in the country to surrender as soon as possible and join the mainstream by adopting the central government's surrender policy.
He said that the central government is determined to completely free India from Naxalism by March 31, 2026.

Major success in Chhattisgarh
Amit Shah informed that in the operations conducted in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, Cobra Commandos and Chhattisgarh Police have arrested 22 notorious Naxalites. Modern weapons and explosives have also been recovered from them. While apart from this, 11 Naxalites have surrendered in Badesatti Panchayat of Sukma district.
Amit Shah said that after this surrender, this panchayat is now completely Naxal-free.

The Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote in his post on Instagram, 'I appeal to the hidden Naxalites to lay down their arms as soon as possible and return to the mainstream by adopting the surrender policy of the Modi government.
Now Naxalism is limited to only 4 districts
The Home Minister had also said a day earlier during the CRPF Foundation Day program in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh that now Naxalism is limited to only four districts. He informed that more than 400 forward operating bases have been set up across the country, which has reduced violence by more than 70% in Naxal-affected areas. Amit Shah said, 'Now we are very close to ending Naxalism.'
Role of Cobra Battalion
Amit Shah especially praised the CRPF's Cobra Battalion. This battalion is expert in jungle and guerrilla warfare and is playing an important role in the campaign against Naxalites. Union Home Minister said, 'CAPF (Central Armed Police Force) and CRPF, especially the Cobra Battalion, are playing an important role in eradicating Naxalism.'
