Horrific accident in Chunar, Mirzapur on Kartik Purnima, 4 devotees hit by a train while crossing railway track
A tragic accident occurred in Mirzapur district, Uttar Pradesh, on the occasion of Kartik Purnima. Four devotees were struck by a train at Chunar railway station. According to reports, these devotees had alighted from the Chopan-Prayagraj passenger train on platform number four. While hurriedly crossing the railway track, they were struck by an express train (Kalka Mail) coming from the opposite direction.
All the devotees were on their way to take a dip in the Ganges.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the accident at Chunar railway station. He expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and directed officials to provide the best and immediate medical care to the injured. The Chief Minister wished for their speedy recovery.
