ICC Men’s Cricket world cup 2023: Australia won by 6 wickets with India lost the game
Australia, led by Pat Cummins, defeated India by six wickets in the World Cup. After 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, and 2015, the Australians have now won the trophy six times.
Against Team India, captained by Rohit Sharma, Travis Head's ODI century was the game's high point. Head scored 137 runs off of 120 balls to be the top-scoring Australian in this match.
For his innings, Travis Head was also named the player of the match. India had set the Australians a target of 240/10, which they were able to easily surpass with the help of Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne's winning combination.

In this match, Labuschagne made a half-century, but Travis Head scored his fifth century in an ODI in the 34th over.
This is heartbreaking news for Indian cricket fans, as the Men in Blue failed to avenge their World Cup final disappointment in 2003. This was also the first time India was bowled out in the 2023 World Cup.
At the end of the game, Team India skipper Rohit Sharma was spotted crying. Virat Kohli was equally devastated by India's defeat against Australia.
Josh Hazlewood remarked on Australia's victory over India, "The Indian crowd is second to none; they're really amazing." It was fantastic to win against such a strong Indian team."
Furthermore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi used X, formerly known as Twitter, to encourage Team India.
Dear Team India,
Your talent and determination through the World Cup was noteworthy. You've played with great spirit and brought immense pride to the nation.
We stand with you today and always.

Along with praising Travis Head's performance, PM Modi also congratulated the Australians on their victory over India. Premier Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were present at the Ahmedabad-based Narendra Modi Stadium for the 2023 World Cup.
Ayushmann Khurrana, Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, Asha Bhosle, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Athiya Shetty were among the celebrities who attended the match.
