In just 3 days, the entire politics in Nepal has changed, now Gen-Z come out against Sushila Karki

Nepal News: Just 3 days after Sushila Karki's oath, Nepal's politics has changed again. People of Generation-Z, who lobbied for Karki's name to President Ramchandra Paudel, have now come out against her. On Monday, Generation-Z protested outside the Prime Minister's official residence.

People of Gen-Z say that Karki's attitude has changed as soon as she became the Prime Minister. Karki is giving importance to those people in the cabinet expansion, who had nothing to do with the movement.

The protest was led by Sudan Gurung of 'Hum Nepali' NGO. People whose children died due to police firing were also involved in this protest.

Why Generation-Z protest?

According to Nepali newspaper Ratopati, the protesters led by Sudan Gurung raised slogans of Sushila Karki Murdabad. These protesters said that Karki has forgotten the basics of the movement as soon as she sat on the PM's chair. Karki is accused of taking decisions arbitrarily.

The protesters say that the opinion of Generation-Z is not being taken in the interim cabinet that Karki is forming. On Monday (September 15), Karki appointed 3 people as ministers in the interim government.

In just 3 days, the politics in Nepal has changed

According to the Nepal President's Office, Kulman Ghising has been appointed interim minister of Energy and Physics Department, Om Prakash Aryal of Home and Law Department and Rameshwar Khanal of Finance Department.

Sudan Gurung says that Om Prakash Aryal was nowhere in the protest. He has been given the responsibility of the Home Department at the behest of Balendra Sah. Balendra Sah can play a role in the upcoming elections. Aryal has been Sah's legal advisor.

Formation of interim government in Nepal

After the protests of Generation-Z, KP Sharma Oli resigned from the post of Prime Minister. After Oli's resignation, President Ramchandra Paudel dissolved the Parliament. Paudel appointed Sushila Karki as interim Prime Minister on the recommendation of Generation-Z. Karki has been the former Chief Justice of Nepal.

According to the President of Nepal, general elections will be held in the next 6 months. After this, Karki will hand over the PM's chair to the elected leader. Karki has been mainly entrusted with the responsibility of conducting fair elections.

In Nepal, the Prime Minister is appointed through the House of Representatives. There are 275 seats in the House of Representatives. 138 seats are required to form a government.
