Gill wanted to bowl first anyway
After losing the toss, Indian captain Shubman Gill said, "We wanted to bowl first. We would have set a target and then tried to achieve it. I think we got what we wanted. In the last match, we had enough runs and some opportunities that we couldn't capitalize on. This happens in cricket; you have to capitalize on your opportunities. The game was tied until about the 40th over. In the end, they played well. Hopefully, this match will be good for us. There are two changes: Kuldeep and Prasidh have come in for Arshdeep and Nitish Reddy."
What the Australian captain said
After winning the toss, Australian captain Mitchell Marsh said, "We will bat first. The wicket looks really good. Today is going to be a beautiful day at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The way the young players are performing brilliantly at this end of the field is a good sign for our team." Today is a great opportunity to take a 3-0 lead in the series. Cooper is calm and performed brilliantly in the last match. Nathan Ellis returns in place of Xavier Bartlett.
