India-France 63 crore deal of 26 Rafale Marine combat aircraft signed
Rafale M Fighter Jet: A deal for 26 Rafale marine aircraft was signed between India and France on Monday, 28 April. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar signed this deal on behalf of India. Under this deal, India will buy 2 single seater and 4 double seater aircraft from France. These aircraft can fire nuclear bombs. This is India's biggest deal with France so far.
Indian Navy will become more powerful
The purchase of the aircraft was approved in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) held on 23 April under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Though this meeting was called after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam of the Valley. This deal will hit Pakistan from the sea as it will be deployed on INS Vikrant and INS Vikramaditya.
In the 1971 war, the Indian Navy had thrashed Pakistan from the sea. Now with the arrival of Rafale, the Indian Navy will become more powerful.
Situation will change in Indo-Pacific
According to reports, the delivery of these aircraft will start in 2028-29 and all the aircraft will reach India by 2031-32. Apart from India and China, no other country has this aircraft carrier. With its arrival, it will become easier to deal with the situations in the Indo-Pacific including China and Pakistan.

Also, there is a provision of offset in this deal. This will also promote India's Make in India campaign.
Features of Rafale-M fighter jet-
It is 15.27 meters long, 10.80 meters wide, 5.34 meters high. Its weight is 10,600 kg. Its speed is 1,912 kilometers per hour. Its range is 3700 kilometers. It can fly up to a height of 50 thousand feet. It is considered the best for anti-ship strike. It has also been designed with the perspective of attacking nuclear plants.
