India Reax on Trump Tariff: US President Donald Trump created a stir in the world by announcing a series of tariffs on many countries on April 2. Discounted Reciprocal Tariff has been imposed on many countries including India and China. Now India has reacted to this tax by Trump.

A senior official of the Indian government said that the impact of the 27% reciprocal tariff imposed by the US on India is being analyzed. The Commerce Ministry is analyzing it.

Trump created a stir in the world by announcing a series of tariffs

He said that the universal 10% tariff on all types of imports in the US will be applicable from April 5, while the remaining 16% tariff will be effective from April 10. The Commerce Ministry is analysing the effects of these tariffs.

He said that there is a provision in it that if any country raises tariff related concerns with the US, then the Trump administration can consider reducing the tariff rate on that country.

Trump has kept the doors of talks open by calling this tariff concessional. A 27 percent tariff has been imposed on India instead of its 52 percent. With this, Trump has kept the possibility of talks with India open. While both countries are constantly in touch with each other on this matterr.

Trump's tariff is not a setback for India

Even though India is already negotiating a trade agreement with the US. The aim of both the countries is to finalise the first phase of this agreement by September-October this year.

The official said that this tariff of Trump on India is not a setback, but it can have a mixed effect.

Let us tell you that the US has announced to impose a 27 percent discounted reciprocal tariff in India. Trump said that India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently come to the US. Although Indian Prime Minister is a good friend of mine. But during this visit I told him that you are not treating us properly. India always charges 52 percent tariff from America.
