Indian Army pays tribute to martyred assault dog ‘Zoom’.
Indian Army payed tribute to ‘Zoom’ who succumbed to gunshot injuries the day before after sustaining them during an encounter in Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir on October 9. The whole unit of 29 army dogs was present during the wreath laying ceremony.
Recently a video was shared by the Army’s Chinar Corps Unit on twitter, where the officers are being seen saluting the dead body. Talking about Zoom, he left the world at around 11:45 am in the hospital, despite responding well to the treatment given after being injured, the officers made it clear that Zoom was receiving treatment in Army Veterinary Hospital in Srinagar. Earlier the officers made it clear that he despite he was highly injured, their were chances that he would survive.
According to the information given by the Army, ‘Zoom’ was a part of ‘Zoom’ was part of a squad that has been trained to locate and take down terrorists. The army has a lot of assault dogs which help the army in their work, but Zoom always defined himself different because of his “energy and courage” . They said despite being a two-year-old dog, ‘Zoom’ was a veteran for having served in multiple counter operations.
