International trade should be done voluntarily only, not under pressure – Mohan Bhagwat
RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat said that balance in society and life is Dharma, which protects from any extremism. Indian tradition calls it the middle path and this is the biggest need of today’s world. He said that to become an example for the world, social transformation will have to start from home. For this, the Sangh has suggested five changes – family enlightenment, social harmony, environmental protection, self-realization (swadeshi) and adherence to civic duties.
For a self-reliant India, give priority to Swadeshi and India’s international trade should be done voluntarily only, not under any pressure.
Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat was addressing the second day of the three-day lecture series '100 years of Sangh journey - Naye Kshitij' organized at Vigyan Bhavan on the occasion of Sangh centenary year. During this, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, Prant Sanghchalak of North Zone Pawan Jindal and Prant Sanghchalak of Delhi Dr. Anil Agarwal were present on the stage.
How does the Sangh work?
Mohan Bhagwat ji said that the work of the Sangh is based on pure sattvik love and social commitment. "The volunteer of the Sangh does not expect any personal benefit. There are no incentives here, rather there are more disincentives. The volunteers work while experiencing joy in social work." He clarified that the meaning of life and the feeling of liberation is experienced through this service. Making friends with gentlemen, ignoring the wicked, expressing joy when someone does something good, showing compassion even to the wicked - this is the life value of the Sangh. What is Hindutva
On the basic spirit of Hindutva, he said that Hindutva is truth, love and belongingness. Our sages and saints taught us that life is not for oneself. This is the reason why India has to play the role of showing the way like an elder brother in the world. The idea of world welfare is born from this.
In which direction is the world going
The Sarsanghchalak expressed concern that the world is moving towards fanaticism, discord and unrest. In the last three hundred and fifty years, the decency of human life has diminished due to consumerist and materialistic outlook. He mentioned the seven social sins mentioned by Gandhiji, “work without hard work, happiness without wisdom, knowledge without character, business without morality, science without humanity, religion without sacrifice and politics without principles” and said that these have deepened the imbalance in the society.
Path of religion will have to be adopted
The Sarsanghchalak ji said that today there is a lack of coordination in the world and the world will have to change its perspective. The world will have to adopt the path of religion. “Dharma is beyond worship and rituals. Dharma is above all kinds of religions. Dharma teaches us balance – we have to live, society has to live and nature has to live.” Dharma is the middle path that protects us from extremism. Dharma means living with dignity and balance. World peace can be established only with this approach.

Defining Dharma, he said, “Dharma is that which leads us to a balanced life, where diversity is accepted and everyone's existence is respected.” He stressed that this is the world religion and Hindu society will have to unite and present it to the world.
Current situation of the world and solutions
In the global context, he said that discussions are going on about peace, environment and economic inequality, solutions are also being suggested, but the solution seems far away. “For this, one will have to think with authenticity and bring renunciation and sacrifice in life. Balanced intellect and religious vision will have to be developed.”
India maintained restraint even in loss
Discussing India's conduct, the Sarsanghchalak said, "We have always maintained restraint ignoring our loss. We have helped those who harmed us in times of crisis. Enmity is born from the ego of individuals and nations, but India is beyond ego." He said that Indian society will have to set an example in the world through its conduct.

He said that today society has faith in the credibility of the Sangh. "Whatever the Sangh says, the society listens to it." This faith has been earned through service and social devotion.
Future direction
On the future direction, the Sarsanghchalak said that the aim of the Sangh is that the Sangh's work should reach all places, classes and levels. Along with this, the gentlemen doing good work in the society should connect with each other. With this, the society itself will do the work of character building and patriotism like the Sangh. For this, we will have to reach every corner of the society. The Sangh's branch will have to reach all places and all classes and levels of the society from a geographical point of view. We will contact the gentlemen and also make them contact each other.
Sangh is based on pure sattvik love and social devotion
He said that the Sangh believes that we have to bring goodwill in the society and we have to meet the opinion makers of the society regularly. A thinking has to be developed through this. They should work for their society, they should feel that they are a part of Hindu society and they should find solutions to the challenges related to geographical conditions. They should work for the weaker sections. By doing this, the Sangh wants to bring about a change in the nature of the society.
Mohan Bhagwat ji said that religious ideas came to India due to aggression from outside. For some reason, some people accepted them. “Those people are from here, but due to being foreign ideology, they are not accepted by the people.
