Janmashtami Celebrations at Shamlaji Pilgrimage Shrine Draw Devotees from Early Morning for Darshan
Janmashtami will be celebrated across the country today. So the festival of Janmashtami will be celebrated today in the legendary temple Shamlaji temples in Gujarat. A colorful celebration will be held at Dharmanagari Dwarka on the occasion of Janmashtami. The entire premises of the Jagat Mandir are decorated with magnificent lights. Devotees have been flocking since morning for the Mangala darshan of Kaladiya Thakor.
Today, due to the Janmashtami festival, there is a lot of enthusiasm among the youth to celebrate Lord Shrikrishna Janmotsav at the Yatradham Shamlaji. Elaborate preparations have been made by the temple trust and the youth of the village to celebrate the birth of Shri Krishna at the pilgrimage center Shamlaji. On the other hand, to celebrate the birthday of Jagatna Nath, the entire village has been decorated with Asopalav and Matki tied by the youth.
More than 108 Matkis have been constructed by the youth throughout the village. A grand procession will be taken out by the youth on the morning of Janmashtami. Thousands of people will join the procession, and 200 kg of Abeel Gulal will be flown in the procession. The entire village will celebrate the birthday of Lord Jagan Nath, painted in Gaji Abeel Gulal colors to the tune of 'Nandgher Anand Bheho, Jai Kanaiya Lalki' and 'Jai Ranchhod, Mankhan Chor'.

In this direction, the tribal community and Vaishnav community will gather in large numbers to have a darshan of Lord Shamliya i.e. black-black Thakorji in Shamlaji.
