Jharkhand: 18 Kanwariyas Killed In Bus-Truck Collision In Deoghar

Jharkhand: Major accident taken place in Deoghar district of Jharkhand on Tuesday early morning. Here, a bus full of Kanwariyas and a truck collided near Jamunia turn of Mohanpur police station area on the Godda-Deoghar main road. 18 Kanwariyas died in the accident.

Bus carrying Kanwariyas collided with a truck in Deoghar

Tragic accident has been taken place in Deoghar district of Jharkhand on today morning. Here, a bus and a truck collided. 18 Kanwariyas died in the accident. While 20 people were injured. Police reached the spot and carried out relief and rescue operations. This accident took place near Jamunia turn of Mohanpur police station area on the Godda-Deoghar main road.

On receiving the information, the police team including Mohanpur police station in-charge Priyaranjan reached and carried out relief and rescue. In the meanwhile with the help of local people, the injured were sent to nearby hospital through ambulance.

Local people have claimed that more than 20 devotees have been injured in the accident. The accident was so severe that the bus was blown to pieces. Local BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has expressed grief over the accident. He said that 18 devotees have died due to a bus and truck accident during the Kanwar Yatra in the month of Shravan in Deoghar of my Lok Sabha. May Baba Baidyanath give strength to their families to bear the grief.

CM Hemant Soren has expressed grief over the accident. He said that very sad news has been received about the death of devotees in a bus accident near Jamunia Chowk in Mohanpur block of Deoghar this morning. The district administration is providing medical facilities to the injured along with relief and rescue work. Baba Baidyanath, give peace to the souls of the devotees who died in the accident.
