K. Venkata Reddy, the man who won against CM KCR and Revanth Reddy
As the day progressed and political drama kept unfolding, a major seat in Telangana took the attention of observers as Katipally Venkata Reddy, a BJP candidate won a very competitive seat.
Let's see what's all the talk about:
A competitive Seat
The Kamareddy Constituency of Telangana is a very competitive seat as Cheif Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), the popular congress leader Revanth Reddy and BJP candidate K. Venkata Ramana Reddy were all fighting for this seat making it a highly competitive seat.
Venkata Reddy and the Race
The congress candidate Revantha Reddy was ahead in the race when the counting first began, but the dynamics changed when Venkata Reddy started leading the race and finally won. It was a hard loss for the CM KCR as it was not an expected loss.
The public of Kamareddy has shown support for the BJP candidate in a state in which BJP does not have a stronghold. This was a big win for BJP as it was able to defeat two prominent influential leaders.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju praised Venkata for his big win by taking to X (former Twitter) by saying "Please don't ignore this great man! BJP’s Katipally Venkata Ramana defeated both the sitting CM of Telangana, KCR and Congress CM candidate, Revanth Reddy from the Kamareddy Assembly seat. This is a major victory which is not being discussed at all!"

Who is K Venkata Reddy?
According to inputs, Venkata Reddy is a former Zilla Parishad chairman. BJP gave him the ticket for the Kamareddy constituency. According to media reports, he declared his assets as worth 7 cr.
While Venkata Reddy was leading the votes, he said "I am only looking at them (CM KCR and Revanth Reddy) as TRS and Congress candidates only. They are big people but I am not going to back off fearing them. A candidate is a candidate in my eyes... KCR was nothing 40 years ago, he became a CM over the journey of years... They became big leaders because their time was right. They should not be considered as geniuses."
He further said that their strategy was different and this is the result of his efforts over the past 5 years. He wants to build a corruption-free constituency.
