More than 1000 people have lost their lives due to a massive landslide in Sudan. This landslide caused by heavy rains destroyed an entire village. This village located in the Marra mountainous region has been completely buried in mud.

Landslide in Sudan: Nature is showing its fierce form in the world. On one hand, while the havoc of earthquake was seen in Afghanistan, on the other hand, nature has shown its fierce form in the African country Sudan. The landslide in Sudan caused massive destruction. On Monday, the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army said that more than 1,000 people died due to sudden landslide. The devastation was so severe that an entire village was destroyed in the western Sudan. It falls in the Darfur region. Only one child survived here.

Local groups of people have appealed to the United Nations and international agencies for help. This tragedy is even more horrific in Sudan, which is already suffering from war.

Village buried in mud, 1000 people dead

The situation in Sudan is quite dire. Giving information in a statement, the group led by Abdelwahid Mohammed Noor said that this landslide happened due to heavy rains. Heavy rains came on 31 August, after which the landslide happened. Which completely wiped out a village and it sank into the mud.

The movement/group has control over the Darfur region. This group has sought help from the United Nations and international aid agencies. Thousands of people died due to this landslide, including men, women and children.

Appeal for help

An appeal has been made to the United Nations and international aid agencies to assist in removing the bodies. There is already a war going on in Sudan. The people there are struggling with the conditions arising from the war. People are facing the threat of starvation. There is a civil war going on between Sudan's army and Rapid Support Forces. Darfur region is already affected by this civil war. To avoid the damages of war, people have taken refuge in the Marra mountain area, but the situation there is also not good.

War has been going on in Sudan for 2 years. More than half of the population of this country is facing the brunt of starvation. Lakhs of people have been forced to leave their homes. The series of attacks on Al-Fashir, the capital of North Darfur, is not stopping.
