Lawrence Gang: Five held with pistol in Mumbai; cops suspect celebrity on target
Lawrence Gang: The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested 5 members of the Lawrence gang from Andheri area. 7 pistols and 21 live cartridges have been seized from them. Giving this information on Wednesday, April 2, the police said that they suspect that a celebrity was on the target of the gang.
The Crime Branch official said that based on specific information, the Crime Branch team detained the members of the Lawrence gang on Saturday.
Motive behind their carrying weapons is being investigated.
The arrested people have been identified as Vikas Thakur alias Vicky, Sumit Kumar Dilawar, Shreyas Yadav, Devendra Saxena and Vivek Gupta. All of them are residents of Rajasthan, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Sumit Kumar and Vikas are history-sheeters.
Cops suspect celebrity on target
In fact, Salman Khan is constantly receiving threats from the Lawrence gang. In such a situation, after the arrest of 5 members of the gang and the recovery of weapons from them, it is also being seen as a big threat to Salman Khan's security.
