A passenger traveling in Indigo Airlines at Chennai Airport accidentally opened the Emergency exit of the flight, which resulted in a delay in the flight. The airline allegedly didn’t take any after the passenger immediately apologized for its action.
Now according to the reports, the passenger traveling was none other than BJP leader Tejasvi Surya. While talking about the airline,  IndiGo Airline declined to comment on the identity of the passenger, it said “the passenger immediately apologized for the action”.
Opposition parties including The Indian National Congress (INC) have also raised questions about the incident being covered by the media and also made it clear that the passenger who “Accidentally” opened the emergency exit is none other than the Chief of BJP’s Yuva Morcha.
The airline has already made it clear from their side that passengers traveling on flight 6E 7339 from Chennai to Tiruchirapalli on December 10 last year accidentally opened the emergency exit during the boarding process. They also further stated that the passenger opened the emergency exit while the boarding process at Chennai airport and the aircraft, which was on the ground, was subject to mandatory engineering checks before it flew to Tiruchirapalli.
Congress has questioned why the government hid the incident for so long. Surya Who was traveling to Tiruchirapalli for the executive meeting of Tamil Nadu BJYM from Chennai along with state BJP chief K Annamalai, was allowed to board entrance after an “apology letter”, leading to questions about whether IndiGo and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) followed the rule book which says opening the emergency door is a “punishable offense.”
The incident, which was being murmured in the political circles for the past few weeks, received public attention on Tuesday after former Karnataka-cadre IAS officer Sasikanth Senthil took to Twitter to ask what happened aboard 6E7339 on December 10 “It takes only one call from @MoCA_GoI (Civil Aviation Ministry) to silence things????? We could have lost 70 lives,” he wrote.
