LPG cylinders become cheaper, prices reduced from Delhi to Mumbai

LPG Price Cut:  The last month of the year, December, has begun today with several major changes. LPG users have received significant relief on the very first day. In fact, LPG cylinder prices have been reduced across the country, effective December 1, 2025. Oil marketing companies have provided this relief on 19-kilogram commercial gas cylinders. These cylinders are now cheaper by ₹10 in Delhi and Kolkata, and ₹11 in Mumbai and Chennai. Meanwhile, the price of 14-kilogram domestic gas cylinders remains unchanged.

Prices have now dropped this much since December 1st

Looking at the updated LPG cylinder rates on the IOCL website, as of December 1st, a 19-kg LPG cylinder in Delhi (Delhi LPG Cylinder Price) has now cost ₹1580 instead of ₹1590. In Kolkata, the price has also decreased by ₹10, from ₹1694 to ₹1684 per cylinder. In other metropolises, a commercial cylinder in Mumbai will be available for ₹1531, down from ₹1542. In Chennai, the price has dropped from ₹1750 to ₹1739.

Prices also decreased in November

Earlier, on the first of November, the commercial LPG cylinder price was reduced, making it cheaper in all cities. This is the second consecutive month of price reductions. However, on November 1, the price of a 19-kg cylinder in Delhi was reduced from ₹1595.50 to ₹1590, in Kolkata from ₹1700.50 to ₹1694, in Mumbai from ₹1547 to ₹1542, and in Chennai from ₹1754.50 to ₹1750.

Domestic Cylinder Prices Remain Unchanged

While the prices of commercial gas cylinders have been changing continuously over the past few months, sometimes with price increases and sometimes with reductions. However, domestic gas cylinder prices remain unchanged at April levels. On December 1, the price of a 14-kg LPG cylinder remained at ₹853 in Delhi, ₹879 in Kolkata, ₹852 in Mumbai, and ₹868 in Chennai.
