Due to an unruly passenger, flight LH772, which was scheduled to depart Munich for Bangkok on Wednesday, November 27, was diverted to Delhi. The concerned party was turned over to the police.
Thereafter, it is anticipated that the flight to Bangkok will proceed with a few minor delays. In a statement, the airline said that the safety and security of its passengers and crew is its top priority.
A heated dispute broke out between the couple
On the flight, there was a reported argument between a couple. According to sources who spoke to news agency PTI, there was a fight between a German man and his Thai wife, which caused issues on board the Lufthansa flight. As a result, the flight requested permission to land at IGI, which was granted.
The pilot diverted the flight as a result. According to the sources, the passenger was later offloaded by members of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
The reason for the fight between the husband and wife is unknown at this time, but it forced the flight to be diverted, aviation security at Delhi Airport told ANI.
The sources further stated that the wife wanted to continue her journey to Bangkok and was using a different PNR ticket.
The flight crew, CISF security officers, and other staff members are in the terminal area as the situation develops. They said that the flight might depart soon for its intended destination.
