Mahakumbh 2025: A massive fire broke out in the Mahakumbh Mela area on Sunday afternoon. The fire broke out in Sector 19 of the Mahakumbh Mela. This caused chaos in the fair area. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath not only took cognizance of the fire incident in the Mahakumbh area but also reached the spot and took stock of the incident site.

The flames and smoke could be seen from a distance, after the fire there was a stir in the area. As soon as the incident was reported, several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and started controlling the fire.

Senior officials of the Mahakumbh area are present on the spot. At the same time, in a statement issued by Prayagraj Police, it has been asked not to pay attention to any kind of rumor. DIG of the fair area Vaibhav Krishna said that there is no news of anyone being burnt in the fire. The fire first broke out in the tent of Geeta Press, after which 10 tents around it came under its grip. He said that no tent of any akhada has caught fire.

News agency quoted Akhada Police Station Incharge Bhaskar Mishra as saying that the fire broke out due to a cylinder blast in Sector 19 of Mahakumbh and 18 tents were burnt to ashes in this incident of arson. Due to the fire, thick smoke spread in the area, due to which people are facing a lot of problems. After some effort, the fire brigade has brought the fire under control. There is no news of any kind of damage in the fire incident.
