Mahakumbh Stampede Updates: There was a stampede today on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya in the Mahakumbh Mela located in Prayagraj. This stampede occurred at Sangam Nose due to the increasing crowd for Amrit Snan in Mahakumbh on Wednesday morning. There is a huge crowd of devotees on the Sangam coast in the Mahakumbh Mela right now.

About 8 to 10 crore devotees are still in Prayagraj. There are reports of many people dying in this stampede. The injured are being treated. However, now everything is under control after the stampede. PM Modi has spoken to CM Yogi about four times since morning to take stock of the stampede situation in Mahakumbh.

There was a stampede due to excessive crowd. Many people were injured in this. Due to this stampede, today's Amrit Snan is getting delayed. However, now all 13 akhadas have set out for Amrit Snan.

Huge crowd of devotees on the Sangam coast

Amit Shah and JP Nadda are also keeping an eye on the situation. As a precaution, the Amrit Snan of the Akharas in Mahakumbh was stopped in the morning. But now it has started. The Akharas have now left for Amrit Snan on Mauni Amavasya. In some time, all 13 Akharas will take Amrit Snan.

144 years old coincidence is a big reason for the stampede in Maha Kumbh

A big reason for the stampede that happened late Tuesday night at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh is the coincidence of 144 years, which was narrated by the government as well as the saints and sages and people were sitting and lying on the ghat for the Sangam bath in this auspicious time, when the uncontrollable crowd broke the barrier and crushed them.

Madhumita, who came from Assam and was an eyewitness to this incident in the Sangam area, told that people were sitting and lying on the Sangam Ghat waiting for the morning.
