Many agreements between India-Singapore sealed- PM Modi said the pace of economic progress will accelerate
Many important agreements were signed between India and Singapore in New Delhi. On this occasion, PM Modi talked about further strengthening India's cooperation with Singapore in the coming times. Meanwhile the Prime Minster Modi also said that Singapore is our biggest trade partner. Our defense relations are constantly getting stronger. Now we have roadmap for the future of our partnership. We will work on many sectors including advanced manufacturing, civil nuclear and urban water management sector in accordance with the changing times.
From semiconductors to supply chain
PM Modi said that our states will also be an important part of the relations between India and Singapore. In January, when the President of Singapore visited India, he also visited Odisha. Under the agreement on semiconductors signed last year, the field of research has also been promoted. Work is being done to establish a new center of Singapore in Chennai. This center will prepare skilled men.

He further said that we have decided to enhance cooperation in AI digital sectors. We have decided that India Singapore Hackathon will be organized to promote the talent of our youth. The agreement reached today in the field of green and digital shipping will give strength to digital port clearance. India is working fast for the development of its port. Today we have inaugurated Phase Two of the India-Mumbai Container Terminal developed by a Singapore company.

PM Modi said that our concerns about terrorism are the same. We believe that fighting together against terrorism is the need of the hour. I express my gratitude to the Singapore government for our fight against terrorism. Our relationship goes beyond diplomacy.
Industrial development and semiconductor cooperation
Singapore announced to support India's industrial development and manufacturing ambitions. Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said that Singapore companies are interested in building sustainable industrial parks in India. Also, cooperation will increase in the field of research, supply chain and skills training in the semiconductor sector. He said that amid growing uncertainty in the world, the India-Singapore partnership is based on trust and shared values, which will contribute to regional stability and development.

Wong said that the friendship between India and Singapore is based on shared history and deep trust. Both the countries will together achieve new possibilities and contribute to bringing stability at the global level. He expressed confidence that in the coming years, together with PM Modi, he will take this partnership to greater heights.
