Maratha protest enters Day 4:  Today is the fourth day of the Maratha reservation movement. The protesters are raising slogans on the roads. Meanwhile, heavy traffic was seen on the roads due to Monday being a working day. The police is deployed on the roads and is trying to keep the situation under control, but the growing echo of the Maratha movement is now taking a toll on the pace of the city.

Maratha activist Manoj Jarange Patil is currently agitating for the demand of Maratha reservation. On Friday, he started a hunger strike at Azad Maidan in Mumbai. After this, Monday is the fourth day of his hunger strike. Due to the movement, there is a jam on the roads.

But, due to the working day and the ongoing agitation, there is a traffic jam on the roads. While the police is trying to stop the protesters, the protesters are not listening to the police. Especially women have come out on the streets in large numbers. They allege that the police is treating them like terrorists.

A protester said, " we went to take a bath for a while. Now that we have returned, the police are not letting us go ahead. We are women, not terrorists." The pictures captured in the cameras clearly show that the protesters are seen clashing with the police. They are sitting on the road and raising slogans. "Ek Maratha, Lakh Maratha!"

On the other hand, Mumbai Police is trying to convince the protesters peacefully. They are being stopped and sent back so that the general public does not face any problem. At many places, the police tried to open the roads for the working people. But, the road blockade by the protesters has worsened the situation.

Manoj Jarange is on a hunger strike. Due to this, there is concern about his health. Doctors examined him last night. Also, now he is going to give up water as well. Doctors said that Jarange's giving up water is serious for his health. Meanwhile, it has also come to light that the state government can also hold an important meeting regarding this movement.

What is the demand?

Manoj Jarange is demanding reservation. He said, we are only demanding that we should be given eligibility under the Kunbi category We should get our fair share of the quota on the basis of caste. He is demanding 10% reservation for Marathas in the OBC category.
