Massive Russian attack on Ukraine's capital kills at least 15, EU building also damaged

Russian big attack on Kiev also damaged the European Union delegation building. After the attack, EU President Antonio Costa condemned the attack and reiterated his commitment to stand with Ukraine.

Massive Russian Attack On Ukraine:  The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for nearly four years and no country is ready to step aside. From US President Donald Trump to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, everyone has tried to end the Russia-Ukraine war. Earlier, President Trump met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska and after that Russian President Putin also met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

However, both the meetings were inconclusive and no concrete decision could be taken towards ending the war.

15 people killed in Russian attack

Now Russia has attacked the European Union delegation building in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. Ukraine says Russia has carried out large-scale attacks on Kiev, killing at least 14 people and injuring 48. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiha said in a post on X that a building of the European Union mission in Ukraine was also damaged in the Russian attack.

Zelensky said 15 people, including three children, were killed in the Russian attack. He said many facilities, including the European Union building, were damaged.

He said, 'This Russian attack requires worldwide condemnation, not just from the European Union.' European Union President Antonio Costa in Ukraine has also confirmed the attack. Sharing a photo of the building damaged in the attack, he wrote on X, 'I am horrified by another night of deadly Russian missile attacks on Ukraine.'

Russia does not want to end the war'

He said Russia is not choosing to end the war, but is launching new attacks. Dozens of buildings were damaged overnight in Kiev, residential areas also damaged in this attack. This includes the building where the EU delegation to Ukraine is located. Now it is important that the world responds strongly. Russia must stop this war that it started and continues.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia's continued attempts to deny a ceasefire and avoid negotiations require tough sanctions. Only this can be effective. Russia only understands power and pressure. For every attack, Moscow will have to bear the consequences.

'629 missiles and drones fired on Ukraine'

French President Emmanuel Macron posted on X and claimed that, 'Ukraine was attacked with 629 missiles and drones in a single night, this is Russia's concept of peace. Terror and barbarism.' He further said that more than a dozen people, including children, were killed. Residential areas and civil infrastructure were deliberately targeted. Meanwhile the European Union Delegation building and the British Council office were damaged. France strongly condemns these senseless and brutal attacks. It expresses full support to the Ukrainian people and deep condolences to all the grieving families.

Regarding the attack, the Russian Defense Ministry says that it has achieved all its targets. It used hypersonic 'Kinjal' missiles, drones and precision air missiles. The ministry said that the Russian army attacked the Ukrainian surveillance ship. Along with this, Ukrainian military bases and airports have also been targeted. The Russian army has also claimed to have captured Nalepyivka in eastern Ukraine.

'Standing strongly with Ukraine'

Antonio Costa said, 'My condolences are with the Ukrainian victims and the employees there, whose building has been damaged in this deliberate Russian attack. European Union will not be afraid of this. Russia's aggression further strengthens our resolve to stand with Ukraine and its people.' European leaders are openly supporting Ukraine in the war against Russia. Recently, during the meeting with Trump, many European leaders also reached Washington with Zelensky.
