Mobile Internet Suspension in Nuh, Haryana, Extended Until August 11

The present suspension of mobile internet services in Nuh district has been extended until midnight on August 11 (Friday), according to an official announcement issued on Tuesday.

The internet ban has been extended in light of the July 31 violence in Nuh over an attempt to stop a Vishva Hindu Parishad parade, which expanded to Gurugram and other districts across the state.

Earlier on Saturday (August 5), the Haryana government prolonged the suspension of mobile internet service in the districts of Nuh and Palwal till Tuesday, August 8th.

On August 9 (Wednesday), the Haryana government lifted the curfew in violence-plagued Nuh for four hours. The curfew will be lifted from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, according to an official statement.

Since July 31, when violence between two religious factions erupted in the region, Nuh has been under curfew.

According to police, a 10-member Haryana Congress team was barred from approaching violence-hit villages in Nuh district earlier today.

A senior police officer stated the party was halted near Rojka Meo hamlet and barred from approaching villages hit by communal violence in the district, citing a curfew enforced in the area and security concerns for the trip.

According to police, the delegation then returned.

Deepender Singh Hooda, Rajya Sabha MP, stated that they intended to listen to the difficulties of the afflicted people in Nuh City and give a message of peace.

Six persons were killed in riots that began in Nuh over an attempt to block a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession and escalated to Gurugram and other locations.
