"Modi ji thali" unveils special menu item in honour of visiting Indian Prime Minister
On Tuesday, June 20,
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin his official state visit to the United
States. A Modi Thali: All efforts are being made to make Modiji’s state guest
visit in Gujarat and India truly special. There is widespread enthusiasm. With
Gujarati thepla, khaman, khandvi, dhokla, and mitha paan, the vegetarian hotel
brand Honest has created a Modi thali. There are about 500 Gujarati families
residing here, and many more Gujaratis visit for the delicious Modi Thali.

New York immigrant
Radhikaben came to try out the Modi thali and informed Gujarat First that
Honest had made it in preparation of Modi Ji’s visit. In order to put it to the
test, we have come here. We’ve come to appreciate this thali because it
contains many of the same dishes that Modi ji enjoys.
Speaking of Modiji, he
stated, “I was there when he first visited Medicine Square Garden.”
Observed him, and examined their accomplishments. He serves as our
motivation. He makes us proud to be
Native Americans. Because of him, we are now recognised throughout the globe.
We are thrilled that they are arriving and doing so much for Indians.
In a conversation with
Gujarat First, the owner of Honest stated, “Since Modi sir is coming, we
decided to make Modi thali.” This thali includes khandavi, khaman-dhokla,
thepla, almond shrikhand, bhindi curry, paneer sabji, and potato sabji, as well
as dal-rice. There are 500 Gujarati families residing in our neighbourhood, 300
of which are ethnically Gujarati.
Gujarat First spoke
with Bharatbhai, a resident of Gojaria, Gujarat, who works for Honest and
played a significant role in the preparation of the Modi Thali. I’ve been here
for seven years, he said, and we all prepared this thali together. We are all
excited to see Modi and welcome him.
It’s not the first time
a thali has been set aside in honour of PM Modi. On the occasion of the Prime
Minister’s 72nd birthday, a restaurant in Delhi offered a thali with 56
different components. The cost of a vegetarian thali was Rs 2250 (including
tax), whereas the cost of a non-vegetarian thali was Rs 2,550 (including tax).
