PM Modi China Visit: The summit of the heads of the 10-member Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is being held in Tianjin, China. During this, in a joint meeting of all the leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, without naming Pakistan, cornered Pakistan on terrorism and reprimanded America for its protectionist, one-sided and hegemonic attitude. At the same time, PM Modi said that India has constantly appealed for a zero tolerance approach towards cross-border terrorism, separatism and extremism.

PM Modi started his address by saying that it is an honour to address this prestigious gathering in Tianjin, a city symbolizing progress and connectivity. On behalf of the 1.4 billion people of India, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the leaders and representatives. I thank President Xi for hosting this summit and the grand hospitality provided to us. From its inception with six members, the SCO has expanded to ten full members, representing almost half of the world's population and a significant part of the global economy. India is committed to the role of this organization in promoting regional stability, security and prosperity.
Summary
Prime Minster Modi said that in the last 24 years, the SCO has played an important role in strengthening cooperation and mutual engagement in the Asia region. India has always played a positive role as an active member. India's thinking and policy regarding SCO is based on three main pillars, which include security, connectivity and opportunity.
