Members of both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha added a vibrant touch to their attire as they gathered for a group photo at the old Parliament building, marking a farewell gesture before legislative proceedings transition to the new Parliament House.

The group photograph captured the essence of India's diverse parliamentary representation. Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, flanked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, took center stage in the inner courtyard of the historic Parliament building.

The first row featured prominent leaders from various political parties, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress leader in the Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Samajwadi Party's 93-year-old Lok Sabha member Shafiq-ur-Rahman Barq, veteran leaders Sharad Pawar (NCP) and Farooq Abdullah (NC), as well as BJP President J.P. Nadda.

Women members of Parliament brought a splash of color to the occasion, adorning themselves in colorful sarees, while many of their male counterparts opted for the traditional white kurta-pajama ensemble paired with vibrant waistcoats for the photo session.

The early morning session witnessed a moment of concern when BJP Rajya Sabha member Narhari Amin fainted. Prompt action was taken as Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, and other leaders rushed to his aid. Officials quickly provided water to the 68-year-old Amin, who subsequently joined the group for the photograph.

In the group photo, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was positioned in the second-to-last row alongside Manish Tewari. Some members chose to sit on the floor, reflecting the diverse seating arrangements as both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha members came together for this memorable photo session.

The event continued with separate group photographs of Rajya Sabha members and Lok Sabha members, capturing the camaraderie and diversity that defines India's parliamentary landscape. The colorful attire and diverse representation in these photos serve as a poignant reminder of the country's democratic spirit as legislative proceedings transition to the new Parliament House.
