MP's new Chief Minister Mohan Yadav gave orders to ban sale of meat in open
In a decisive move, Madhya Pradesh's newly appointed Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav, has taken action to enforce the ban on the open sale of meat and eggs. This announcement came after his inaugural cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, where he underscored the strict adherence to food safety rules and guidelines issued by the Government of India regarding the sale of meat and fish in the open.
Addressing the media in Bhopal, Chief Minister Yadav outlined the forthcoming campaign, set to be launched from December 15 to 31, which will involve coordination between the food department, police, and local urban bodies to ensure the effective implementation of the ban.
In addition to this significant step, CM Yadav issued a directive during the cabinet meeting to curb noise pollution, prohibiting the use of loudspeakers at religious places beyond permissible decibel levels. A proactive approach has been taken with the establishment of flying squads in each district to monitor sound levels from loudspeakers and DJ systems in religious premises.
Furthermore, the cabinet's agenda included plans to upgrade at least one government college in each district to a 'PM College of Excellence.' These upgraded institutions are slated to feature modern facilities such as smart class seminar halls and hostels, reflecting a commitment to enhancing the quality of education across the state.
Addressing concerns about crime, Chief Minister Yadav instructed police officials to take stringent measures, including the revocation of bail for individuals who commit fresh offences while on bail, ensuring that such individuals are promptly incarcerated.
The oath of office was administered to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav by Governor Mangubhai C. Patel at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal on Wednesday. The ceremony also witnessed the swearing-in of Deputy Chief Ministers Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda, along with former Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, who took office as the Assembly Speaker.
Prominent political figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, and other BJP and allied party state Chief Ministers, graced the occasion with their presence, underscoring the significance of the developments in Madhya Pradesh.
