Cricket icon Mahendra Singh Dhoni has taken legal action against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash of Aarka Sports and Management Limited, filing a criminal case in a Ranchi court. In 2017, Diwakar entered into an agreement with MSD to establish a global cricket academy, but he failed to comply with the agreed-upon conditions. Aarka Sports was obligated to pay a franchise fee and share profits as per the terms, which were not upheld.

Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issues outlined in the agreement, the stipulated terms were consistently ignored. Consequently, on August 15th, 2021, MSD revoked the authority letter granted to Aarka Sports and sent legal notices, all of which went unanswered.

Dayanand Singh, representing MS Dhoni through Vidhi Associates, has asserted that they were deceived and cheated by Aarka Sports, resulting in a loss exceeding Rs 15 crore.

Returning from spending New Year in Dubai, Dhoni was seen welcoming the year with family and friends. During the trip, India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant joined Dhoni, who celebrated Christmas with his family in Dubai.

Rishabh Pant joined MS Dhoni in Dubai for the IPL 2024 mini-auction held in the UAE on December 19. Recovering from injuries sustained in a car crash in December 2022, Pant sat with the Delhi Capitals team management during the auction. Both Dhoni and Pant are anticipated to make a competitive return during IPL 2024, marking the former's farewell season at the age of 41.

Overcoming a knee injury, Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings to their fifth title in 2023. Following knee surgery in June 2023, Dhoni's successful recovery was closely monitored. Chennai Super Kings CEO, Kasi Viswanathan, provided a positive update on Dhoni's health, confirming steady progress in his rehabilitation. Dhoni himself expressed optimism about the process, indicating a seamless return to his day-to-day routine during the rehab phase.
