‘Narrative outside is different, nothing has changed between us’ - Shubman Gill denies rift with Rohit & Virat
Shubman Gill: The Indian cricket team is on a tour of Australia, where they will play three ODIs and five T20 matches against the host country. The first match of the ODI series is scheduled to be played on Sunday, October 19th, at the Optus Stadium in Perth. This match marks Shubman Gill's debut as captain in ODI cricket. Shubman Gill was appointed the new captain of the ODI team, replacing Rohit Sharma.
Both legends will play under Shubman Gill in the ODI series.

Before the first ODI, Shubman Gill and Australian captain Mitchell Marsh participated in a press conference. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill has clearly stated that he has no differences with Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli. Shubman said that no matter what is going on outside, everything within the team remains the same.
Shubman Gill said, "No matter what is going on outside, nothing has changed between us. Everything is the same. Rohit bhai is very helpful and shares his experiences. I ask him for suggestions on what he would do on this wicket if he were the captain. I like to hear other players' opinions."

Rohit and Virat are my idols: Shubman Gill
Shubman Gill revealed that he has idolized Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma since childhood. Shubman says, "When I was a child, Virat bhai and Rohit bhai were my idols. The kind of game and hunger they displayed inspired me a lot. It is a great honor for me to captain and learn from great players like them."

Under Shubman Gill's captaincy, the Indian team recently whitewashed the West Indies in a two-match Test series. This was Shubman's first series win as captain. Shubman said that the experience he has gained so far will help him in the future. Shubman said, "It's very exciting. It's a matter of pride for me to carry forward the legacy of legends like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma. I've learned a lot from them so far. We've discussed many times how to take the team forward and what kind of atmosphere to create."
