NEET UG 2025: Important documents to carry, dress code, items prohibited
NEET UG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to conduct the NEET (UG) exam on Sunday, May 4, at 5,453 centers across the country and 13 cities abroad. More than 22.7 lakh students have registered for the exam this year. The exam will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. Mock drills were successfully conducted at all centers today, so that the exam can be conducted safely and smoothly.
NTA has taken action against more than 165 Telegram channels and more than 32 Instagram accounts spreading misleading and false information related to the exam. This action has been taken on the basis of complaints received on NTA's "Suspicious Claims Portal".
This action has been taken in collaboration with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Documents required at the exam centre:
Admit card: Passport size photo with print out
Passport size photograph: Same photo as applied on the application form
ID proof: PAN card, driving license, voter ID card, passport, ration card, 12th class admit card etc.
PwBD certificate (if applicable): Certificate issued by the competent authority for persons with benchmark disabilities
Important instructions:
- Entry to the exam hall will not be granted without admit card and valid photo ID
- It is mandatory to reach the exam centre on time with the required documents
Dress code for NEET UG exam:
Clothing: Wear light coloured half-sleeved clothes
Footwear: Wear slippers or low-heeled sandals, not shoes
Metal items: Watches, bracelets and any metal items are not allowed
Traditional or religious attire: Do not wear traditional or religious attire to the exam centre
Special advice for female candidates
- Do not wear brooches, flowers, badges or jeans
- Follow a simple and prescribed dress code
In a case reported from Rajkot, Gujarat, where it was alleged that marks were increased by taking money, appropriate action has been taken by the Gujarat government.
Similarly, in Odisha too, the police have taken strict action against those who were trying to cheat students. All state governments have been instructed to remain vigilant and take immediate action against those involved in any kind of unfair activities.

The NTA has appealed to all students and their parents not to fall prey to any unauthorized person or institution. Stay away from intermediaries claiming to influence the examination or admission. Trust only the information given on the official website of NTA
