Nepal's FM Beaten: The voice of the youth against the ban on social media and corruption in Nepal has now taken a violent form. On Tuesday, protesters created a ruckus in many cities including the capital Kathmandu. During this, the angry mob chased and beat up Finance Minister Vishnu Paudel on the road and showered kicks and punches on him.
Meanwhile, a series of resignations has started in the government. PM KP Sharma Oli has resigned. Protesters chased and beat up Finance Minister Vishnu Paudel.

Who is Vishnu Paudel
Vishnu Prasad Paudel is a big leader of Nepal. He is the Vice President of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML). Paudel was recently the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister in the Third Dahal Cabinet. Even before this, he has taken charge of important ministries many times. He was the Deputy Prime Minister in 2021 and has also seen the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Water and Ministry of Defense. He has handled the Finance Ministry twice (2020-21 and 2015-16). He also held the responsibility of the Water Ministry in 1994-99, 2008-09 and 2021.

Arson and vandalism
Angry protesters entered the Parliament building and vandalized and set fire. Apart from this, the houses of former Prime Ministers Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and Sher Bahadur Deuba were also targeted. The residences of Ramesh Lekhak, who resigned from the post of Home Minister, and Communications Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung were also set on fire. The government took strict measures, but the situation is out of control. So far 19 people have died in police firing and hundreds are reported to be injured.
