New Delhi Railway Station accident: Government will give Rs 10 lakh each to victim families

New Delhi Railway Station accident: Compensation has been announced for the people affected in the New Delhi Railway Station incident. The families of those killed in the accident will be given a compensation of Rs 10 lakh, the seriously injured will be given a compensation of Rs 2.5 lakh and the minor injured will be given a compensation of one lakh.

Stampede at New Delhi Railway Station

There was chaos on platform number 14 and 15 of New Delhi Railway Station on Saturday night due to stampede, in which 18 people died and many were injured. The incident took place at around 9.55 pm. Compensation has been announced for those killed and injured in the incident.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has ordered an inquiry into the incident.

Compensation has been announced in the stampede case, the distribution of which has also started. The families of the deceased are being given a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each. While the seriously injured are being given Rs 2.5 lakh. Apart from this, compensation of Rs 1 lakh is being given to those who are slightly injured.

Railways formed committee to investigate the stampede

Dilip Kumar, Executive Director of Information and Publicity in Railway Board, said on Sunday that a two-member high level committee has been formed to investigate the New Delhi Railway Station stampede case and find out the reasons for the incident.
